Welcome to St. Paul's U.C.C.Saint Paul's United Church of Christ is a part of the Penn Central Conference of the United Church of Christ (UCC), which encompasses a total of over 230 churches. Since its official founding in 1765, the St. Paul's congregation has been worshipping at its current location since the mid-19th century. We stand on the premises of the Reformation through our heritage in the German Reformed Church and the later Evangelical and Reformed Church. In 1957, the Evangelical Reformed Church merged with the Congregational Christian Church to form the UCC, which is a united and uniting church. The UCC's motto is taken directly from scripture: "that they all may be one" (from the Gospel of John, ch.17, v.21). Our mission is "to worship God, to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to celebrate the Sacraments; to realize Christian Fellowship and unity within this church and the Church Universal; to render loving service toward mankind; and to strive for righteousness, justice and peace." No matter
who you are, or where you are on life's journey, To read more about the church history, find information about our location and doctrines, view photographs and our events list, or meet our staff, we invite you to visit any of the links in the menu bar at the top of the page. |
